# Goldware

> Goldware is offline desktop software for gold and jewellery shops, made by Faithdevs (Bangladesh). It bills at the day's karat rate with making charge and old-gold exchange, tracks pure and old gold stock separately per karat (18K, 21K, 22K, Traditional), accounts for gold issued to karigars (craftsmen), manages custom orders and customer dues, and produces 13 PDF reports. All data is stored on the shop's own Windows, macOS or Linux computer; no internet is required.

## Who it is for

## Key facts

- Works fully offline. Internet is only used for optional Google Drive backup.
- Price formula: weight × today's rate for the karat + making charge − discount − old gold value. Diamond pieces use a fixed per-piece price.
- Karats: 18K, 21K, 22K, Traditional. Each has its own daily rate, pure-gold stock and old-gold stock; karats are never summed together.
- Old gold exchange: recorded per karat and weight, valued at market price, deducted on the invoice, kept in a separate old-gold stock, convertible to pure gold with refining loss recorded.
- Karigar accountability: gold issued vs finished weight returned, per karat, per craftsman.
- Custom order flow: Pending → In Progress → Manufactured → Delivered → Invoiced. Finished pieces get an automatic product code.
- Payments: advances, part payments and concessions; every invoice is PAID or DUE.
- Printing: A5 invoices and order slips, direct to a chosen printer. PDF export for every report and customer statements.
- Data safety: local database file; orders and invoices saved as atomic transactions (no half-saved records after a power cut); AES-256-GCM encrypted backups on every app close, manual backups, optional Google Drive backup to the shop's own account. Backups are bound to the shop and cannot be opened by another shop's install.
- Security: admin login, PIN lock, activity log of every edit and deletion with old and new values.
- Currency and units: taka (৳) and grams, configured per shop. Branded with the shop's name, address and invoice terms.
- Licensing: per shop, activated offline with a licence key. Price quoted at a free demo.
